Principal Dr. Elsa Mendoza Guides Belmont through the 2017-2018 School Year

 Welcome to Belmont High School!

It is an honor to be the Principal of Belmont High School. I look forward to continuing the hard work that our staff and faculty is committed to see through in order that our students achieve great academic success. The pride and dedication that all our stakeholders have including students, teachers, alumni and parents, speaks volume of how much this school means to all its stakeholders!

During this school year, we will continue to focus on student learning by ensuring that each one of our students is being captivated by instruction that is personalized and rigorous. Students not mastering the common core standards will be provided the interventions necessary to ensure progress including Saturday Credit Recovery Classes.

Equally important is that we will be relentless in our efforts to ensure that all students are college prepared and career ready. Our master schedule continues to reflect our Small Learning Communities (SLCs), Advanced Placement classes and exciting electives. In addition, student safety is also a priority to ensure that students have the best possible educational instructional environment.

I invite you to be a part of our school. Volunteer once a week, tutor students on your day off, or join us for our campus beautification day in November 2017. I look forward to working closely with all stakeholders! Go Sentinels!

Elsa Mendoza, Ed.D.
